The lights actually mount flush to the wall and require no outlets, wiring or electricity. Each light is powered by 3 AAA batteries (included). For added realism, you can attach the included decorative string to give the look of a hanging lamp. You can also mount the lights to small screws using the built-in keyhole mount.
